So begins the first-personally written statement from Olly to announcethe return on the scenes.
A brand new formation (with the exception of the historic trombone player Max Finazzi and a refounding energy gave a newstart to the band in 2015 and in January 2016 Back on Board the sixth studio album, is released.
A much autobiographical title, also because the release was immediately followed by an eight-month tour.
Two video clips are made and in Augustthe Shandon returns to international stage scenes in two maior festivals in Holland and Belgium.
In October,it is the turn of a mini album titled Brandelli d’Italia vol.1: a tribute to six of the most important bands ofthe Italian alternative music history (Skiantos, Senzabenza, Casino Royale, Ritmo Tribale, Search and Kina) thatinfluenced the Shandon and their sound, as well as a way to thank them and let them notfall into oblivion.
One thing is certain: the Shandon are backto stay.
