THE MAGNETICS are an Italy-based, formed in 2017 and led by frontman Olly Riva from Shandon and The Soulrockets.
Their music draws inspiration from original ska, early reggae, vintage Jamaican music, and rocksteady beat, and vintage soul.

Their first album “Jamaican Ska” was released in 2017 on vinyl+CD with Get Up / SELF,  and was chosen as ‘Record of the year’ by many ska webzine, ska radio all around the world.

Their second album “Coffee & Sugar” was released in 2018 on vinyl+CD with the legendary SKA Label Grover Records.

On December 2018 they released also a single on vinyl with Mr. Tony Dallara in person, one of the greatest voice in Italian history. The song is “Come prima“ from 1957.

The band has toured continuously more then 200 shows in 3 years, in Italy and in Europe, including great festivals like Zwarte Cross in Holland, Reduit festival and Dynamite fest in Germany, Gdansk SKAJamboree in Poland, Tramore international SKA fest in Ireland, Rock N stock fest in France, and opening for Skatalites, attracting a live following and becoming one of the most promising bands in this musical genre.

In November and December 2019 they backing in Italy and Germany one of the legend of Trojans records, Miss Susan Cadogan from Kingston Jamaica.
